ColonSmart is built to be useful without collecting your health information. Here's exactly what that means.
Do not submit personal medical information through this website. The screening checker is for education only and is not a medical record.
The screening checker stays on your device
The Screening Checker runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are used only to display educational guidance on your screen — they are never sent to a server, saved to a database, or shared. Closing or refreshing the page clears them. When you finish a check, we add one to an anonymous completion tally (described under Cookies & analytics below) — that records only that a check was completed, never any of your answers.
What we do not collect
- Your screening checker answers (symptoms, history, age)
- Date of birth, address, insurance, or medical record numbers
- Uploaded documents or free-text medical details
If you join the waitlist
If you choose to join our waitlist, we collect only your email address and, optionally, your first name — and only with your consent. This is kept entirely separate from the screening checker, which never asks for identifying details. You can ask us to remove your email at any time.
Cookies & analytics
We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand overall usage. This includes a simple, anonymous count of how many people have completed a screening check, which we display on the site as a measure of how many people the tool has helped. That count is incremented by an empty signal when a check is finished — it records only that a check was completed, never the specific answers you provided, and it cannot be linked back to you. We will update this notice if our analytics practices change.
Future products & HIPAA
This website is an educational tool and is not a covered entity service. If ColonSmart later connects to a clinical practice, scheduling, or any workflow that creates or transmits protected health information, that will be governed by separate, appropriate privacy terms and agreements.
